TAKRAF has confirmed it is receiving orders from across the globe for its recently released DELKOR BQR flotation cell.
The cell, now equipped with the MAXGen mechanism, was first applied commercially last year in India to maximize recovery at a cement works site. More recent orders are spanning several commodities, including: 12 BQR flotation cells for a fluorspar processing plant in Spain; five BQRs for the processing of iron ore in Honduras; 11 BQRs for two gold mines in Australia; four BQRs for iron ore recovery from a zinc, lead, silver and copper concentrator tailings stream in South Africa; and six BQRs for a nickel restart project in Australia.
“Our mechanism provides superior recoveries with higher mineral grade, along with faster flotation kinetics, which is achieved by generating favorable bubble size distribution and energy efficient hydrodynamics in the cell. Other outstanding benefits include the rotor and stator configuration, which enables the rotor to operate at a lower tip speed, reducing operational costs with lower power consumption and wear,” said Europe Sales Manager Rajiv Krishnamurthy.
“These benefits also [go] a long way to supporting our group’s sustainability efforts.”
